Below are things that I am thinking about or
need help doing.
If you can offer me any suggestions on the projects, or know some one
knowledgeable, please feel free to email me!
(Sometimes I might have things up here just to keep some of the
general ideas at hand) Old Fashioned Paper Cutter Hoping to get cheaply on of those old fashioned paper cutters. You know what I mean..one with a metal handle/blade. I need it for cutting thin poster board. Vinyl Repair I have a weight bench and two kitchen chairs with torn vinyl. What is the best way to make a good repair. The tears are fairly large and I'm presuming I will have to use material that is different from the original. Microsoft Excel I am wondering how to set up the top row in a spreadsheet so that it will appear on the top of each printed page Family Tree Software Is there a family tree software that can view easy to see charts and also have views for lots of detailed information. Lastly also hoping that the data could be exported/imported/saved in a microsoft product or text format. T-Shirts It seems like cotton t-shirts feel different sometimes when they age. It's almost as if they have a sticky kind of feel against the skin. Would any one have a better description of this phenomena, know what it is, or how a t-shirt can be reverted back to its original feel? What Computer Language to Learn? I am thinking of writing a computer program for identifying minerals. I'll most likely need to learn some kind of programming language to write it in. something that can be widely used (such as operating on Microsoft windows) and something that will be legal to use, if I chose to distribute and sell copies. Any suggestions on what I should learn? Some Answers Given or Found: Candle Question I'm wonder approximately how much heat energy is given off by a votive candle (such as one made by Yankee Candle Company)? Well, wikipedia had an answer under (you guessed it) candles. They claim that a candle gives off about 80 watts of heat, and about 13 lumens of light. Ice Cream Scoop My ice cream scoops would become easily pitted. I've read on the internet that if you rinse them off immediately after use, this keeps the lactic acid in the ice cream from pitting the scoop. I've bought a new scoop and tried this. So far, so good. Apple Trees Composting
